UniNovo
UniNovo is a universal de novo sequencing algorithm designed to analyze all types of tandem mass spectra. UniNovo uses an improved scoring function that captures the dependencies between different ion types, which are learned automatically using a modified offset frequency function. UniNovo's performance was compared to other de novo sequencing tools using various types of spectra and was found to be superior for ETD spectra and comparable to others for CID and HCD spectra. UniNovo estimates the probability that each reported reconstruction is correct, using simple statistics that are accurate for all tested types of spectra.
