VAP
VAP, or the versatile aggregate profiler, is a software tool that is specifically designed to generate profiles of genomic datasets over groups of regions of interest. This tool is highly efficient and is intended for use by both experimental and computational biologists. One of the key features of VAP is its flexibility in using either an absolute or a relative method to generate profiles. Additionally, the graphical representation of results is automatically generated, and subgrouping can be performed easily based on the orientation of the flanking annotations.
VAP helps avoid misinterpretations of genomics data. Through its intuitive design and flexibility, VAP can generate reliable and accurate profiles that can be used to facilitate comparisons between different groups or datasets. Statistical measures are also included in the outputs, making comparing the profiles and identifying significant differences easily.
VAP is highly efficient and is designed to run on laptop computers with a memory footprint control, which makes it accessible to a broader range of users. Depending on the user's requirements, it can also be easily compiled and run on servers.
