VIRALpro
The software tool VIRALpro addresses the problem of underrepresentation of non-human-pathogenic viruses in annotation databases by detecting and classifying viral sequences. It identifies capsid and tail protein sequences, which are important for viral sequence annotation and genome classification. VIRALpro is available as part of the SCRATCH suite, and its data, software, and web server are freely accessible.
