cellassign

CellAssign is a computational tool that automates the annotation of cell types in single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data. It addresses the limitations of manual annotation and existing mapping approaches by utilizing a probabilistic model that incorporates prior knowledge of cell-type marker genes. Key features of CellAssign include:

1. Scalability: CellAssign can efficiently annotate cells across large datasets, overcoming the scalability issues associated with manual interpretation.

2. Batch effect control: The tool effectively controls batch and sample effects, ensuring accurate cell type assignments.

3. Flexibility: CellAssign can assign cells to predefined or de novo cell types, providing flexibility in the annotation process.

4. Marker gene utilization: By leveraging prior knowledge of cell-type marker genes, CellAssign improves the accuracy and reliability of cell-type assignments.
