debCAM

The "debCAM" R package introduces an unsupervised deconvolution method for dissecting complex tissues into molecularly distinctive subtypes based on bulk expression profiles. This software can autonomously identify tissue or cell-specific markers, ascertain the number of constituent subtypes, compute subtype proportions in individual samples, and estimate tissue or cell-specific expression profiles. Demonstrations on various data types, including gene expression, methylation, proteomics, and imaging, showcase the biomedical utility of debCAM. The tool enables a more comprehensive and unbiased characterization of tissue remodeling, especially when complemented with enhanced data preprocessing and prior knowledge incorporation.
