geneRxCluster
geneRxCluster is an R package to address the risks associated with gene therapy, particularly those arising from retroviral vectors integrating into sensitive genomic regions. This software tool is intended to assess the safety of retroviral vectors. It does so by identifying and comparing clusters of integration sites in different vectors. The tool uses scan statistics to discover differences in spatial clustering and calculate false discovery rates. It provides a statistical framework for the comparative analysis of retroviral vectors' safety profiles, making evaluating their safety and effectiveness easier. The package introduces a scan statistic capable of comparing two vectors using multiple window widths, allowing for the detection of clustering differentials and the computation of false discovery rates.
