rDGIdb
rDGIdb is an R package that serves as an interface to the Drug-Gene Interaction Database (DGIdb). The package lets users identify potential drug targets based on aberrated genes or pathways discovered through next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis. By integrating information from 15 different sources, DGIdb provides a comprehensive resource for exploring drug-gene interactions.
The rDGIdb package enables R users to query the DGIdb easily and filter the results at various levels. This functionality is handy in medical data analysis pipelines, where associating genomic aberrations with phenotypic and clinical features is crucial. By incorporating the rDGIdb package into NGS pipelines, researchers can automate the identification of potential drug targets, streamline the interpretation of genomic data, and facilitate the development of personalized treatment strategies.
