JDC
The software tool JDC (Jaccard Degree Centrality) introduces an approach for identifying essential proteins by leveraging protein-protein interaction (PPI) network and gene expression data. It employs a dynamic thresholding technique to binarize gene expression data, aiming to minimize the impact of fluctuations in gene expression profiles. By integrating the degree centrality and Jaccard similarity index, JDC calculates a unique score for each protein within the PPI network, referred to as the JDC score.
